Carers Group
Free therapies for those supporting people living with dementia
Free therapies are available to support the wellbeing of carers including counselling, head massage, reflexology and shiatsu.
We understand that caring can have a big impact on a person’s life and can lead to struggles with mental health. Thanks to funding, we are able to offer access to 8 sessions of counselling and 8 sessions of alternative therapies. Available to people living in Bridgend, Cardiff, RCT, Merthyr and surrounding areas.
We have a large team of experienced, compassionate counsellors who can work with people facing all kinds of challenges. Whether you have a specific issue or you just aren’t feeling yourself right now, our counsellors work with you in a safe, confidential space. Online, over the phone or face to face in our Cardiff centre.
How can counselling help?
You may be experiencing extreme fatigue, depression, anxiety, anger, isolation or loneliness. Counselling offers a supportive, safe and confidential environment where people can talk about their feelings, their grievances, and learn different coping strategies in often overwhelming circumstances.
It can make a huge difference. From feeling hopeless and helpless to the possibility of coping, regaining some sense of perspective, renewed self-awareness and self-care, and the return of some control in a world where it seems that little exists.
