Hello, my name is Kay and I am a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists – BACP.
I mainly work as a trauma counsellor with experience in domestic, sexual and historic abuse. I also work with clients experiencing bereavement and loss in addition to issues with anxiety, addiction, depression and self-worth.
I approach counselling from a natural person-centred perspective and create a good therapeutic relationship based on non-judgement and respect.
My aim is to provide a space that facilitates trust in which you have the opportunity to be listened to, your feelings validated and your voice heard while moving safely through the counselling process. I believe that you are the expert on yourself, therefore I will work collaboratively to support you with compassion and empathy.
When not working I like to spend time with my family, and go walking in nature with my King Charles Spaniel.
