I’m Rhi and I am studying to become a Clinical Sexologist, which could also be described as a Sex and Relationship therapist. This enables me to work with anything considered a sexual ‘dysfunction’, out of control sexual behaviour (sometimes described as ‘sex addiction’), sexual practices that may cause concern/issues, sexual trauma and shame and sexual health. I can also help people having thoughts about their gender identity or sexuality.
As mentioned, I can do relationship work, and look at any issues surrounding being in relationships. It is important for me to let you know that I welcome all sexualities, gender identities and relationship structures. Find out more here.
The therapy model I use is called pluralism, which is based on the view that no one therapeutic approach can resolve all client presentations, and that different clients are likely to want and benefit from different interventions in therapy.
At the time of writing this, I have recently completed the Couch to 5k training and am now running regularly. I am trying hard to keep up a basic yoga practice too. I love to visit the theatre when I get the chance and spend time with my nephews. Being a student, though, my face is mostly buried in fascinating books!
