Hello I’m Singeta. I am a trainee integrative therapeutic counsellor coming to the end of my training and registered with BACP. I have extensive experience working within different therapeutic and psychological settings, mental health, and training on the impact of trauma. I have returned to working in counselling and therapy after twenty years in children’s services. Previously, I have worked and trained extensively in psychodynamic therapy, as well as intercultural therapy, and systemic work. My previous work has been with individuals, families, and children, and in the areas of early childhood trauma, loss, eating disorders, anxiety, panic attacks, identity issues, self-harm, discrimination, self-esteem, adoption, depression, stress, work and relationship issues.
I am interested in person-centred work, as well as psychodynamic theory and internal family systems. I have really benefitted from therapy and counselling at different life stages myself, and have wide experience of providing an empathic, sensitive, warm approach to support others at difficult stages in their lives. My way of working is very much person-focused and relational – coming from a place of compassion and care for each individual’s unique experience.
My hobbies include baking, reading, walking, cinema, meeting up with friends and family and days out.
